Since 1919 members at the Zonta Club level and through support for Zonta International programs have worked together to make women's equality a reality. Each of our Clubs in the Greater Metropolitan Area is unique, with their own personalities and projects. And yet, all of them are bound by the ideals and mission of Zonta International for Advancing The Status Of Women Worldwide Through Service And Advocacy. Zonta members volunteer their time, talents and money to local and international service projects and scholarship and award programs aimed at furthering women's education, leadership and youth development.
ZONTA INTERNATIONAL OBJECTS
- To improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the global and local level through service and advocacy
- To work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of executives in business and the professions
- To promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms
- To be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, to implement service programs, and to provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations, and the world

If you believe in the power of one person to make a difference in the dreams of many, then you'll love Zonta! By banding together with other like-minded individuals you can realize even greater achievements and engage in fun social events too. There are 6-Zonta Clubs in Area 3 with a combined membership of over 170 Zontians. Collectively in 2008, these members and their Clubs gave over $130,000 in financial support to local and international organizations and projects.
